What types of groups use your center?
A. St. Francis Retreat is open to churches, religious, civic, educational, therapeutic and other non-profit organizations. We take pride in serving a wide variety of faith denominations, in an ecumenical spirit. Many healing and recovery groups find our place especially conducive to their work.

What do I do to sign up a group?
A. If this is your first time here at St. Francis we have a few needs and a few suggestions. Our retreat co-ordinator will be able to fill you in on more of the details. Please call us; we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further. We do suggest, if at all possible, that you make an on-site visit to make sure this is the right place for your needs.

What about the cost?

A. Our basic rate for 2008 is $85. per night, per person: double occupancy; $110. per person for private rooms. Our basic day-use rate for conference room, lunch, beverages and snacks is $29. per person. Discounts for extended night stays can be arranged. Week-end: Two overnights: $170 per person semi-private; $215. per person, private. This includes 2 nights stay, up to six meals, conference room, beverages and snacks. Extended Stays - 4 Nights or More: Graduated discounted rate depending on number of overnights and number of meals. Commuters: (group participants attending during the day only) $50. per person per day. This includes up to three meals and use of the facilities. Rates subject to change.

What about A/V equipment and set-up?
A. We have the following available for group use at no additional charge: TV/VCR in each conference room, overhead projector, chalk board, easels (group will provide its own pads) and a microphone system and piano in the chapel. Ordinarily, there is no extra fee for room set-up.

What size groups can you accommodate?
A. Our set-up allows for a great deal of flexibility in regard to group size. For overnight stays, we have 118 beds and 58 rooms, mostly semi-private with bath. All bed and bath linens are provided by us. Our conference rooms vary in size to hold groups of up to 150, 70, 60, 25 and 10. We also have small group break-out areas.

What about food?

A. It's good! We serve quality “ranch-style” food in buffet-line set-up. Each group is served individually, with separate dining tables for each group provided. With advance planning, our food service people are able to work with group leaders for special dietary needs.

How far in advance do we have to book a group?

A. Our schedule often fills up quickly at peak demand times of the year, especially for weekend usage. Many groups will cover (roll over) from one year to the next. However, openings do become available unexpectedly due to cancellations. -We are open and available during holiday weekends. –We have greater flexibility for mid- week reservations. -Even for last minute availability it’s worth contacting our retreat co-ordinator.

How much in advance do I have to sign up?

A. Each retreat varies in how large a group we take. Some programs fill quickly. Early registration is always best. But last minute notice is worth the call to see if openings still exist. In most cases, we have found we prefer a smaller, more intimate number. Check the specific program details.

Do I have to be Catholic?

A. No. Our programs are open and sensitive to all people of faith. Our retreats are presented in the context of the Catholic/Christian tradition.

What do I have to bring?

A. Unless otherwise directed, all you need to bring is you —a friend would be nice also! We provide all bedding, towels, etc. The food is good and plentiful. The weather is usually mild but depends on the time of year.

Are private rooms available?

A. Ordinarily our rooms are offered on a double-occupancy. For most retreats some rooms are designated available for private use. There is an additional fee for a private room, if available.

Private Retreats

A.$85.00 per person per night. This includes overnight accommodations and up to three meals. Private retreatants are welcome Monday thru Thursday nights, when space is available.
